We have always enjoyed the romantic side of wine and in 2012 the fascination of wine making became an obsession!  Year after year we had the desire to create better wines which led us to our dream!  In 2014 Mitch and Julie Corbett acquired the beautiful piece of land for Smokin’ Barrel Winery and the story began! 

We established our private estate on the property in 2017, planting five exceptional varietals and beginning what would become Smokin’ Barrel Winery. Along with the fruit grown on our estate, we proudly source grapes from local vineyards throughout the Sierra Foothills, handcrafting them into wines that reflect the character of our region.

Through years of hard work and dedication and a true love for winemaking, we’ve created a little piece of paradise that we’re proud to share. WE invite you to slow down, enjoy a glass of wine and become part of the Smokin’ Barrel Winery family!  

Our rustic outdoor tasting room offers a laid-back country atmosphere where friends and family gather over a great glass of wine. From live music and local food trucks to seasonal events and wine club gatherings, there’s always something happening at the Barrel!

As proud members of the Placer Wine Trail, we believe wine is about more than what’s in the glass- it’s about community, connection , and the memories made along the way!
